A Great Choice for You and Your Children
What makes the religious school at Temple Beth Am of Randolph so successful? Its an attitude that permeates our halls, one which says that serious learning is happening here, presented in a fun way. We are well aware of the many demands made on children and families these days. We strive to make sure that the time spent in our school is enriching and nurturing, fulfilling the mitzvah (commandment) to educate our children in all things Jewish, including our religious beliefs, customs and observances, as well as our Bible and history. The prayer-based curriculum provides the tools for a lifetime of spiritual growth and commitment. Our students read Hebrew beautifully, regularly leading prayers at services. Our goal is to make the time they spend at Temple Beth Am meaningful, enjoyable and rewarding.
Family Learning Opportunities
Parents are encouraged to become involved with their childrens Jewish education. They are invited to join students at all holiday celebrations, including special Shabbat programs, Chanukah, Purim and Passover celebrations. There is an active Parents Association which is involved in program planning as well as the general direction of our school. On Sundays, rather than just dropping the kids off at school, parents may chose to join our older students at Learners Minyan, led by Rabbi Weiss. After minyan they are welcome to take a weekly adult class in Hebrew. We have recently added a family educator who will be presenting topics of interest to Jewish parents on a monthly basis - all free to members!
Our Community
Families come to us from many different communities as well as from Randolph. They include Holbrook, Milton, Stoughton, Brockton, Braintree, N. Easton, Needham, S. Weymouth, Bridgewater and Wrentham. We are a small school with a big reputation, of which we are quite proud!
Our Classes & Programs
We offer classes and programs for children beginning in pre-school. Young children may join our Temple Tots which meets once a month on Shabbat. Pre-K and Kindergarten children meet twice a month, 1st graders meet every Sunday and 2nd graders through our graduating students meet twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays. We have the lowest tuition around, thanks to the support of our wonderful congregation, which values every childs Jewish education highly enough to pay for most of it! (Temple membership dues are also the lowest in the area!) Bar Mitzvah training is included in the cost of tuition. Our USY chapter, open to 4-12 graders, is active, with varied choices for social involvement.
